U15 Boys ‘Eltham Eagles’ and ‘Eltham Falcons’ entered into the Winter Season 1965 of the Presbyterian Men’s Basketball Association.
1968
First Formal Committee established.
1969
First ‘Home’ Court Try Youth Club West Heidelberg.
1970
First girls team enter competition.
1975
First January Tournament (EDJBT) conducted out of the bulleen venue.
First entry into Junior Championships and immediate success in making the A grade finals.
1979
Eltham Basketball Club is recognised as an Association.
1980
Opening of Eltham Leisure Centre, partially funded by Eltham Wildcats Basketball Club.
Expansion of senior and primary competitions, and junior administration. Referees Director appointed.
Entry into Senior Championship Competition.
1995
Eltham High School Venue is completed.
2001
Third court is built at Eltham High School.
2007
Eltham Wildcats has 1800 families participate with Eltham Wildcats Basketball Club.
2012
Eltham Basketball and Montmorency Secondary with the support of Banyule Council and State Government open the 2-court facility at Montmorency Secondary College.
2013
Naming of Eltham High Court 3 to “The David Hickman Court”.
Eltham Basketball won Basketball Victoria’s Large Association of the Year.
2014
Eltham Basketball taking over management of Eltham High Stadium Canteen, providing further work opportunities for young people involved in the Wildcats community.
2015
Eltham Basketball Club Celebrates 50 Years of Operation.
Upgrade of Eltham High School Toilets funded by Eltham Basketball and Eltham High School.
2016
Eltham Basketball took over management of the Uniform Shop furthering our commitment to providing work opportunities to young people within our community.
2017
Eltham Basketball Awarded 2017 Basketball Victoria Junior Program of the Year.
VicSport awarded the Eltham Dandenong Tournament the “2017 Community Event of the Year”.
2019
Eltham Basketball Club awarded Basketball Victoria Association of the Year.
Stage 3 of Eltham High School Upgrades completed with $1.1 Million investment from Eltham Basketball Club and a $100,000 grant from the State Government.
Eltham enters into new NBL1 Competition which replaced the SEABL competition.
Victorian Election promises Eltham Basketball Club $16.1M for the build of New Montmorency Secondary College stadium.

NBL1 Men’s team wins the South Conference Championship.
2025
Eltham Basketball celebrates 60th Year of Operation.
Our Aussie Hoops Cub Squad featured in the Top 10 across Basketball Victoria for overall participation with 427 participants and with 43.66% of girls as participants.
Youth League One women’s team wins the Youth League One Championship.
2026
Eltham Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament has 1954 teams registered to participate.
