Eltham Wildcats offers members the opportunity to get involved with the club through a range of retail and customer-facing roles. These opportunities include canteen staff, uniform shop assistants, and bar staff.

By joining our Retail Pathway, you’ll gain valuable real-world experience while contributing to our vibrant game-day atmosphere.

About the role

Eltham Wildcats manage two canteens, located at Eltham High School and Montmorency Secondary College. Our canteens operate on Friday evenings and Saturdays, with additional hours available during school holidays, Sundays, and throughout the NBL1 and Big V seasons.

Working in our canteens is a great way to get involved in the local community while gaining valuable hands-on experience. You’ll develop practical skills including cash handling, food preparation, customer service, and operating a professional coffee machine, alongside broader workplace skills such as teamwork, communication, and time management.

All staff receive on-the-job training and are paid award rates.

Requirements & getting involved.

To join the Eltham Wildcats canteen team, no prior experience is required. We simply ask that you complete a free food safety course before starting.
