Hello Wildcats,
What an incredible journey it’s been! After more than eight months of dedicated work, we’re thrilled to finally unveil your brand-new website. Welcome to the refreshed online home of the Eltham Wildcats!
We’ve put a huge emphasis on making the site cleaner, more intuitive, and easier on the eyes decluttering the design to create a smoother, more user-friendly experience overall.
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of two dedicated member sections:
- General Members Page: Designed for prospective families exploring the club, as well as current members wanting a clear overview of programs the club offers and what each program entails. It highlights all our programs many of which weren’t fully detailed on the old site, giving everyone a top-level understanding of what we offer.
- Current Members Hub (Our favourite new addition!) This is a section packed with the latest club information. Features include:
- Important dates and recent updates (with clear upload dates so you know what’s fresh)
- A comprehensive FAQ section to help answer common questions before reaching out
- Key files, documents, and resources (including those for coaches, referees, team managers, and more. (some sections are still being populated))
- Easy toggling between programs to access program-specific info with just a click.
- A pathway toggle to visualise the progression routes available, underscoring our strong commitment to player development from grassroots to elite.
And here’s an overview of the key updates and new features:
- Streamlined Navigation: We’ve simplified the menu bar for effortless browsing. Domestic/participation programs are grouped together, representative programs are in their own section, and we’ve introduced a dedicated menu for non-playing pathways available at the club.
- Quick Access Toolbar: A new handy feature lets you jump straight to the pages you use most, making navigation faster than ever.
- Refined Content: Information has been reorganised and condensed to avoid overwhelming visitors with too much at once. We’ve also prioritised showcasing the club’s core values, true vision, and strategic plan.
- Community Spotlight: Fresh images of our Wildcats community bring the site to life and celebrate our people.
- AI Chat Bot: Ask questions about anything on the site, and our new AI assistant will scan the content and provide accurate, instant answers.
- Prowls Integration: The prowls are now hosted directly on the website for easy reference.
- NBL1 Fan Zone: A new section where you can dive into the stories of our NBL1 players – especially our home-grown talent – and follow their journeys to the semi-professional level.
We know it may take a little time to get familiar with the new layout, but we’re confident these changes will significantly improve communication, accessibility, and engagement across the entire club.
We’ll continue to refine and add to the site as needed to evolve – watch this space!
